Position Overview:
Surry Hills Medical Centre seeks an experienced and dedicated full-time General Practitioner (GP) to join our established medical team. As a GP at our centre, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to patients of all ages, working in a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a wide range of medical conditions.
Offer preventive care, including health screenings, immunizations, and wellness checks.
Manage chronic conditions and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
Perform minor procedures such as wound care, skin checks, and other common medical interventions.
Provide care for both acute and chronic medical conditions across all age groups.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
Ensure the delivery of quality care in a safe and professional environment.
Participate in patient education and health promotion.
Collaborate with nursing, allied health, and administrative staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Comply with all relevant regulatory, legal, and ethical guidelines and requirements.
Engage in continuous professional development and attend relevant training sessions.
Key Requirements:

Medical Degree and current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or equivalent qualifications (or working towards).
Experience in a general practice setting with the ability to handle a diverse patient base.
Strong clinical skills and an ability to manage a wide range of medical conditions.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing patient-centred care.
Knowledge of Medicare and other health insurance schemes.
High standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality.
Valid Working with Children Check and Criminal Record Check (if required).
Desirable:

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Additional qualifications or special interests (e.g., dermatology, chronic disease management, mental health) are highly regarded.
