RACGP updated STI testing guidelines.

RACGP has updated STI / STD testing guidelines. There is also a decision-making tool. This decision-making tool helps to identify what and when needs to be tested.

In my view, following these guidelines not only improves clinical care but also offers some level of protection in case of Medicare audits. Medicare audits often focus on referrals for pathology tests, including STI screening.
