FIFO GP Opportunity at Moogji Aboriginal Council Medical Clinic

Opportunity
Are you a General Practitioner looking for a rewarding experience while enjoying a flexible Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) arrangement? Moogji Aboriginal Council Medical Clinic is seeking 2-4 GPs to join our dedicated team on a roster-sharing basis. This role allows you to live in or near Melbourne or Canberra while providing essential healthcare services at our MM5 location in the beautiful Gippsland region of Victoria.

With this position, you’ll have the chance to reduce your moratorium through scaling and providing valuable healthcare to rural and Aboriginal communities. This opportunity is perfect for you if you’re passionate about meaningful work in a stunning natural environment.

What We Offer

  • Flexible FIFO Arrangement: At least two weeks on, with the flexibility to build your roster around your availability.
  • Moratorium Reduction: Reduce your moratorium by up to 3 years while maintaining family commitments in metropolitan areas.
  • Competitive Daily Rate: Travel expenses covered and accommodation provided. A fully maintained car is available for personal use on weekends.
  • Work-Life Balance: No weekend or after-hours work is required.
  • Family-Friendly: Your family is welcome to join you and explore the scenic Orbost region.

About Moogji Aboriginal Council

About the Role
As a GP, you’ll be supported by a highly skilled team, including Practice Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and a Practice Manager. You’ll focus on chronic disease management, ensuring comprehensive healthcare for our rural community.

About the Area
The Orbost region is a nature lover’s dream, nestled on the delta of the Snowy River and minutes from pristine beaches. The area offers outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing in nearby National Parks. It’s the perfect setting to relax and unwind after your work week.

Getting There
Orbost is a 4.5-hour drive from Canberra or just under 5 hours from Melbourne. You can also take a 4-hour train ride from Melbourne, and we’ll arrange for you to be picked up for the final drive to Orbost.
